Dial Up Your IAMpowerment!

In this month of Empowerment, where do you stand in KNOWING who you are?

Do you have the steady legs of a professional ballet dancer or are you feeling a little wobbly like a newly minted sailor getting their sea legs or maybe you are you somewhere in between? In fact, KNOWING who you are, much like stability, takes faith … and exercising that faith.

When a ballet dancer goes en pointe for the very first time, there cannot be any doubt that they can … and so they do! Knowing who you are is much the same.

When there is no doubt about who you are, the power that pours over you is immeasurable. You are washed with a sense of knowing, and that’s not just knowing who YOU are … you know who everyone else is as well. YOU are now “en pointe.”

“But doubt, worry and fear have a way of finding space in everyone’s mind” you might say. And here is where we exercise our faith.

I often used a bible quote when I forget who I am and cave to the deceit of doubt, worry and fear that goes something like this: “…with faith the size of a mustard seed, I can move mountains.” (Matthew 17:20).

I evoke that Christ Consciousness that reminds me that my faith need not be immense, it just needs to be and that in itself is the immensity and the power provided by faith.

It is the empowerment, the IAMpowerment of KNOWING who I AM.
