Changing Your Prosperity Consciousness

First year of practitioner class on Kauai was when my world turned upside down in 2017. Ironically, the theme of the year was, “How Life Got to be This Way,” with a deep dive into our inner most sanctuary: my mind. Up until this point in my life, I was somewhat blissfully unaware of some of the limiting beliefs around lack of prosperity and my worthiness around being abundant. However, it was certainly showing its face in how my life was looking, which wasn’t fabulous. While delving in deep, my outer world was literally falling apart with my husband and I facing bankruptcy, drowning in a mountain of debt that we kept throwing “it’s all good, it’s all god” at with fingers crossed that it would disappear. It didn’t.

What changed? I did. For me, it was ALL about forgiveness. Forgiving myself for the choices and actions that I had made in the past, all of it. There was so much shame, guilt and fear around the possibility of bankruptcy that needed to clear out and be released prior to ever picking up the phone to call a lawyer. Forgiving myself led to forgiving my Dad, to whom I hadn’t seen or spoken to in several years. The forgiveness led me to visit him in person in NH and I know, this was my turning point. Unforgiveness had kept me prisoner in my own mind, blocking all prosperity and keeping those aforementioned beliefs locked into place. Unforgiveness had been the clog in the pipes of ALL aspects of my life and forgiveness was the antidote that cleared the way for HUGE opportunities to enter our lives.

Next, we committed to tithing 10% of whatever came in. No matter what! We gave even when on paper it didn’t make sense for us to give. We gave even when the bankruptcy lawyer said we “shouldn’t.” We gave when there was very little to give because the law of circulation was already proving itself in our lives. We gave because we began to believe deeply that the Universe is unlimited and there was more money flowing through us. We gave like our lives depended on it, and trust me, it did. We continue to give because we support where we are being spiritually fed.

Along with the classes that we were both taking and tithing, we dedicated ourselves to John Randolph Price’s “The Abundance Book,” a 40 day practice and changed our consciousness around prosperity and our worthiness of abundance. It was literally the only way we could shift our lives, by practicing this philosophy and inundating our minds with a dedicated practice to change our beliefs.

We did in fact follow the path of bankruptcy and it was the most freeing decision we ever made. It didn’t completely clear out all our debt, however today, we are completely debt free and able to pay cash for the biggest trip of a lifetime, Antartica! This $#&+ REALLY works!
