Dr. James Mellon

Dr. James Mellon is an ordained minister of Centers for Spiritual Living with over fourteen years in service. He lives in Los Angeles and is the Founding Spiritual Director of Global Truth Center LA, a spiritual community of love and unconditional acceptance. The community fosters and supports creativity, a thirst for wisdom, and respect for people everywhere. Combining the arts with spirituality is Dr. James' primary focus and his personal vision of Enlightenment Through Entertainment. He is constantly expanding and exploring new ways to teach Principle through music, drama, art, dance, and all forms of artistic expression.

Prior to becoming a minister, Dr. James had a successful career in the entertainment industry, which included Broadway, television, music and film. He played Riff in the Jerome Robbins revival of “West Side Story,” and toured the country as Jesus in “Jesus Christ Superstar” before turning his attention to directing and writing. He has written for television, film and has had three original musicals published for which he has written the book, music and lyrics. His first book, “Mental Muscle, 16-Weeks of Spiritual Boot Camp” has gone through three printings and is being used by many centers and workshops around the world.

His prosperity program, “Core Prosperity Relief” (CPR) has attracted thousands of participants for each 30-day workshop. He has also produced a series of 20-minute daily lectures, the first of which was "Troward in 20!," an in-depth exploration of the brilliance of Judge Thomas Troward, a forefather of the New Thought Movement.

Dr. James is married to Broadway producer & actor Kevin Bailey.  They have been together for over twenty-eight years and have twin children, William and Nora, both of whom are very active with GTC Los Angeles and are practicing Global Citizens.

My Global Intention is to empower people to know that they can have it all, not because of what they do, but because of who they are.
